Gerard Van Paassen
B Bus (Accountancy), Grad Dip (Adv Accounting)
Gerard graduated from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy — distinction) in 1991. He also has a Graduate Diploma in Advanced Accounting from QUT.
Gerard has over 20 years experience in providing advice on business and taxation matters for corporate structures, family trust, partnerships and individuals.
He is an Authorised Representative of Count Wealth Accountants

Lucas is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) and graduated with distinction from QUT with a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) degree in 2000.
Lucas began his career at SBS in 1999 and specialises in assisting clients with tax minimisation, asset protection and business structuring. Lucas is also actively involved in the Chartered Accountants Program, the ICAA’s membership training program.
Lucas is a member of the Kangaroo Point Rovers Football Club and participates in the Brisbane Men’s Soccer League
BSc, Grad Dip (Accountancy)
Belinda is a member of CPA Australia. She graduated from Monash University in 2000 with a Graduate Diploma in accountancy and previous to that in 1996 she graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Science (Statistics).
Belinda has been working with Specialised Business Solutions for over 11 years, providing business and taxation advice.
In her spare time Belinda plays touch football and French horn in a community concert band.

Claire is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA). She graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) degree in 2007.
Claire has been a member of the SBS team since 2002 and provides taxation services, business acquisition, structuring & management advice to a large range of small to large business clients.
B Com (Accountancy)
Prasanth Saravanabhava is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) who joined the SBS team in May 2007. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Accountancy, in July 2009.
Prasanth provides advice to clients predominantly in the areas of Taxation, Business Advisory, Management and Structuring.
Prasanth enjoys travel, food and is a passionate supporter of the NRL Brisbane Broncos and both the Australian and Sri Lankan cricket teams.
B Comm FPI (Acc), AFP®
Andrew joined the SBS team in 2001, since then completing a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Planning and Investments (Accountancy), as well as taking a year off to spend living and working in London.
Andrew is an Authorised Representative of Count Wealth Accountants and an Associate member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia. He provides financial planning advice in the areas of superannuation, investment and gearing, as well as aged care and Centrelink benefits. Along with this he also provides accounting and taxation advice to clients.
Andrew previously worked as an online cricket commentator at the Gabba, and spends his spare time playing football, tennis and cricket, and supporting the Brisbane Roar soccer team.
Michelle completed Bachelors of Commerce/Laws from the University of Queensland in 2011. At SBS she provides accounting and taxation services for a range of entities assisting clients obtain the most beneficial results. She is currently undertaking the Chartered Accountants program.
Her interests include spending time with friends and family and travel.
Tom de Veer
Tom started with SBS in 2009 in the Business Services Team working with a range of clients. He has since spent time working at other firms in Brisbane including the Big 4. Tom returned to SBS in 2013 and brings with him experience in several areas key to individual and small business clients.
He is passionate about working closely with his clients to develop trust through a genuine care for their individual and business tax needs.
In his spare time Tom captains his mixed Touch Football and is a mad fan of just about all things sport. He also enjoys spending time with/repairing the damage of his Australian Bulldog, Phoebe.
Kshitij graduated from Queensland University of Queensland in 2011 with a first class honours. He is passionate about the industry and helping small businesses grow and prosper. Outside of work, Kshitij enjoys everything food including cooking and trying new cuisines.
His other interests include cricket, travelling, reading and watching movies.
Alice started with SBS in 2015 after completing a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) degree in 2014. She is currently studying to become a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA).
Alice is an enthusiastic and punctual individual with an irrepressible love for life, she is one of those people who throws herself wholeheartedly into everything she does.
In her spare time she loves to adventure with family and friends participating in activities such as snorkelling, mountain climbing and relaxing at home. She also enjoys attending social gymnastics classes and has a keen interest in fitness.
Laurin looks after the corporate affairs department at SBS. This involves preparing necessary documentation and collaborating with the A.S.I.C. to ensure that any corporate affairs are actioned correctly and on time.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with friends and family. Her favourite pastime is playing and listening to music.
As the Administration Manager, Marie is one of the first friendly faces to greet you at reception.
Since 2012, Marie has enjoyed being a part of the energetic SBS team and is committed to assisting you with any enquires.
Outside of SBS, Marie is a busy mum and her interests are watching movies, tennis, Art and listening to modern & classic music.
Teklehans joined SBS in 2011. Since then he has been working as a Lending Manager assisting clients with lending/finance requirements. Working with clients and their accountants to achieve financial goals is his number one passion.
Teklehans believes a clear vision is the key component for achieving a financial success. Teklehans is no stranger to pursuing a clear vision. He moved to Australia in 2008 to pursue a career in finance. In 2012, he completed a Bachelor of Business majoring in Finance and Accounting and graduated from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with a distinction.
Teklehans cites that the most rewarding part of his job is to achieve the things that are very personal and important to his clients.
