DIRECTORS AND FOUNDERS

Timothy Munro B Bus (Accountancy) PNA JP (Qual) timothymunro@sbs.net.au Timothy is a member of the National Institute of Accountants and graduated with Distinction from QUT with a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) Degree in 1990. He is a member of the National Institute of Accountants, and has over 19 years experience in advising clients how to structure and grow their businesses. Timothy is a co-founder of the company "Count GPS Pty Ltd", which provides practice management services to Accounting firms throughout Australia. Apart from providing traditional accounting and taxation advice, Timothy's specialty areas include asset protection, business structures, business consulting, and wealth creation. He is an Authorised Representative of Count Wealth Accountants. Timothy enjoys playing and watching cricket and watching V8 supercars (passionate Ford supporter!) and Formula 1 motor racing. Timothy also enjoys music, and he plays the drums (he's jammed with US Grammy winner George Benson).

Gerard van Paassen B Bus (Accountancy), Grad Dip (Adv Accounting) gerardvanpaassen@sbs.net.au Gerard graduated from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) (with distinction) degree in 1991. He also has received a Graduate Diploma in Advanced Accounting from QUT. Gerard has over 20 years experience in providing advice on business and taxation matters for corporate structures, family trust, partnerships and individuals. He is an Authorised Representative of Count Wealth Accountants. Gerard enjoys playing trumpet and spending time at the gym.

Lucas Woodbury B Bus (Accountancy), Grad Dip (ICAA) lucaswoodbury@sbs.net.au Lucas is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) and graduated with distinction from QUT with a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) degree in 2000. Lucas began his career at SBS in 1999 and specialises in assisting clients with tax minimisation, asset protection and business structuring. Lucas is also actively involved in the Chartered Accountants Program, the ICAA’s membership training program. Lucas is now the Practice Manager of SBS. Lucas is a member of the Kangaroo Point Rovers Football Club and participates in the Brisbane Men’s Soccer League.
Mark Munro B Bus (Accountancy) markmunro@sbs.net.au Mark is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and graduated with distinction from QUT with a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) degree in 1996. He worked at Arthur Andersen in the Assurance and Business Advisory division between 1997 and 2000. After joining SBS in 2000, he enjoyed a working holiday in London during 2001 and 2002. Mark provides specialist taxation and accounting advice to individuals, small businesses, and self-managed superannuation funds. Mark is actively involved in the Chartered Accountants Program, and he is the Training Manager for our accountants. Mark enjoys playing many sports, including cricket, tennis, squash, touch football, and indoor soccer.
Belinda Woodbury BSc, Grad Dip (Accountancy) belindawoodbury@sbs.net.au Belinda is a member of CPA Australia.  She graduated from Monash University in 2000 with a Graduate Diploma in accountancy and previous to that in 1996 she graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Science (Statistics). Belinda has been working with Specialised Business Solutions for over 11 years, providing business and taxation advice. In her spare time Belinda plays touch football and French horn in a community concert band.
Jacqueline Trocas B Bus (Accountancy) jacquelinetrocas@sbs.net.au Jacqueline began at SBS in 1999, and graduated with distinction from QUT with a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) Degree in 2001. She worked in Sydney for a period as the accountant for a property development firm, before returning to Brisbane in 2005. At SBS, Jacqueline specialises in working with larger business clients, and specialies in advising about self-managed superannuation funds.
Susan Banks susanbanks@sbs.net.au Susan has been part of the SBS team since 1994. She started when we first moved into our George Street offices, back then she was our “new girl”. Susan has filled many different roles at SBS. She is currently working part-time looking after a select group of individual and small business clients. A special “parent’s room” has been set up in our office, complete with a full work station at one end and baby crèche at the other. Susan has been able to bring her daughter Lauren to work with her since she was 6 weeks old. Another SBS team member in the making!

ACCOUNTANTS

Melanie ten Hoope B Com melanietenhoope@sbs.net.au Melanie joined the SBS team in 2003. Melanie graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accountancy) degree in 2007. Melanie provides taxation and business services and advice to individual and small business clients. Melanie enjoys renovating houses in her spare time, and loves to go jogging with her dog “Balin”.
Claire Lee B Bus (Accountancy) clairelee@sbs.net.au Claire graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Business (Professional Accountancy) degree in 2007. Claire has been a member of the SBS team since 2002 and she provides taxation & business services and advice to individual and small business clients.
Prasanth Saravanabhava B Com (Accountancy) prasanth@sbs.net.au Prasanth joined th SBS team in May 2007, and has since completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accountancy from the University of Queensland. Prasanth currently specialises in taxation advice for individuals, small business clients, and business structure advice. Prasanth is also a passionate NRL Brisbane Broncos supporter and cricket follower.
Thomas de Veer tomdeveer@sbs.net.au Tom joined the SBS team in 2007.  He graduated mid 2009 from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Business Degree duel majoring in Accounting as well as Banking and Finance.  In 2006, he became a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society through his studies at QUT.  Tom provides taxation services and advice for both individuals and small business clients. In his spare time, Tom enjoys playing touch football and indoor cricket.

FINANCIAL PLANNING TEAM

Andrew Moore B Comm FPI (Acc) andrewmoore@sbs.net.au Andrew joined the SBS team in 2001, since then completing a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Planning and Investments (Accountancy), as well as taking a year off to spend living and working in London. Andrew is an Authorised Representative of Count Wealth Accountants, and he provides financial planning advice in the areas of superannuation, investment and gearing, as well as aged care and Centrelink benefits. Along with this he assists with providing taxation advice and preparing income tax returns. Andrew also works as an online cricket commentator at the Gabba, and spends his spare time playing football, tennis and cricket, and supporting the Brisbane Roar soccer team.
Angela Moss Adv Dip (Accounting) angelamoss@sbs.net.au Angela graduated from the North Coast Institute of TAFE in 1996 with an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and has a background in Insurance and Administration. Angela joined SBS in late 2006 and works in a paraplanning role in the Financial Planning Team, specialising in the Insurance / Wealth Protection area. Angela won the Count "Support Staff Member of the Year" in May 2009, which is a prestigious national award. In her spare time Angela enjoys spending time with her husband Ian and their two cats Taffy and Mork.
Kate Gibbs kategibbs@sbs.net.au When Kate joined the SBS team in January 2007, it was a refreshing career change after working as a legal PA for 16 years. Kate works in a paraplanning role providing administrative assistance in the financial planning division, and she is an integral part of the preparation of the quarterly investment reports for our financial planning clients.

Lyndall Munro JP (Qual) lyndallmunro@sbs.net.au As Administration Manager, Lyndall’s role is to ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Lyndall also manages the Corporate Secretarial division of SBS, which includes the establishment of many Companies and Trusts each week, and the ongoing maintenance of these entities. She has been part of the SBS team for 10 years. In her spare time, Lyndall loves to travel, shop, and dream about taking up ballroom dancing again.
Joslyn Grygorcewicz joslyngrygorcewicz@sbs.net.au Joslyn has been a team member since 2005. She assists in the Corporate Secretarial division which includes the establishment of companies and trusts and the ongoing maintenance of these entities. Joslyn also manages the Accounts Receivable department at SBS. In her spare time, Joslyn enjoys catching up with family and relaxing at home.
Kirsty Farrugia kirstyfarrugia@sbs.net.au As our Senior Administration Assistant, Kirsty provides excellent support to the office in assisting the Accountants and Advisors in maintaining day-to-day service to our clients and managing a varied scope of administrative duties. Kirsty is also assisting our Financial Planning team with admin support, and is training as a paraplanner. Kirsty also keeps very busy with her role as Marketing Manager for CountGPS, a company jointly owned by Specialised Business Solutions and Count Financial Ltd which provides practice management services to Accounting firms throughout Australia. In her spare time Kirsty enjoys catching up with friends, cooking and playing tennis.
Lisa Mair lisamair@sbs.net.au Lisa is our Administration Assistant, and she is one of the first people that most clients will come into contact with, whether by phone or calling in person. Lisa will organise your appointment with one of our Financial Advisers or Accountants and be here to greet you with her welcoming smile as you arrive. As you might imagine, Lisa has also become an expert cappuccino maker, so please make sure you come in early for your appointment to enjoy a cuppa and a Tim Tam! In her spare time she enjoys seeing her favourite NZ bands live, going to the beach and is a Warriors supporter!
Angela Jarvis angelajarvis@sbs.net.au Angela is an Administration Assistant, and an integral part of the SBS admin team and a great support to the entire office. She will greet you with a big smile at our reception desk! Angela is also a Barista and a Florist by trade. She enjoys doing wedding flowers as a side business and will be very happy to make you a nice coffee whenever you come into our office. In her spare time she likes to explore different places in Brisbane, going to concerts and spending time with her fiance and closest friends.
Tegan Plechanski teganplechanski@sbs.net.au Tegan joined SBS in January 2009, as a change from her 4 years in hairdressing. She now works in our new online Shelf Companies Department, incorporating new entities for our clients in record time.   When she’s not working, Tegan loves painting, playing cards with her friends in coffee shops, going out to see local bands, and holidaying in Noosa with her mum and two sisters.
